- My first choice - writing skill - thinking aloud protocol - a technique to improve the writing performance among Form 2C students in SMK KUALA KETIL.
- Social Problem - Teenage pregnancy
- Literature - which gender performs better in literature component? A case study in SMK KUALA KETIL.
So, should I change my topic? Which topic I can score better...hehe...

Useful website....
I have found a few websites that will be useful for all the three scopes that I am interested with. One of the teachers in my school is also doing his master program as well. He suggested me to visit this website, he said it is very useful for those who wants to find literature reviews for the research.

Topic: What is the process approach for writing?
Thinking Aloud Protocol is a technique used in the process approach. Therefore it is very important to understand the approach before Iwrite my literature review.

A thought after the fifth class...
Today, Kak Mun, Kak Fiza and me had presented on correlational design. It is a good activity because I was forced to read some materials in order to do the task. Last week, after the class, three of us had brainstormed some ideas. Kak Mun came out with the idea to see the relationship between motivation and social networking. So, all of us went back and search some information for the presentation. Below are a few websites I found for correlational research design:
URL: http://frank.mtsu.edu/~sschmidt/methods/correlational.html
: http://frank.mtsu.edu/~sschmidt/methods/CorrelationalResearch.pdf
(it is a slide presentation, quite interesting and informational as well)
(the information given was too deep to understand because there were too many terminologies I haven't heard before)
The other two sources are from books:
Noorzan Mohd Noor & Glenys M. Page. (2010). Writing Your Thesis. Prentice Hall. Malaysia.
Jack R. Fraenkel & Norman E. Wallen. (2010) 7th Edition. How To Design And Evaluate Research In Education. McGraw Hill International Edition. Singapore.
During the Q&A session, one of the course mates asked me about the hypothesis of the research and with confident I told him that it was not necessarily to have hypothesis because it could limit our findings. However, after the session, Dr. Aziah told us that it is a must for correlational research to have hypothesis because it has variables. Oh my god..it was such an awkward moment for me..all these while, I have been receiving the wrong information. I would try to read more books on this design.

A Thought After The Final Class
As what I had said Dr. Aziah on the last day of our class, I am glad and thankful for taking this program as a partimer instead of being a full timer because I am definitely learned a lot from my course mates. They are kind and helpful towards me especially Kak Mun who likes to make coffee for me..hehe..Frankly speaking, I am not as strong as these people. They could still manage their time to study even though they have other commitments like kids, family and career. I had nearly nearly given up after the forth class because I was too tired with the travelling. I have enough of it; everyday I have to drive from Butterworth to Baling for my work., and during weekends, I have to take take flight or drive from Penang to Sepang and later to Sha Alam for my classes. These kind of torture will continue until I get my confirmation and graduate from this program. However, after seeing few of my classmates brought their big stomach to study, I started to realize that I should stay strong to achieve what I have planned in my life. If I wish to achieve better life and salary, I have to do this, I have to study and enrich myself with knowledge. My classmates are my inspirations now..each of them symbolize strength and determination for me to to complete this program. May they always stay with me to finish this program and may Allah gives me the strength to do so as well. Thousands of thanks to Dr. Aziah who has been assisting and guiding us throughout this semester. Hope that I can score well for her paper..hehe..insyallah!

Work Progress In May...
Our lecturer, Dr. Aizah was away from us now, I guess she was in Spain. The submission date given by her before she left was 4th May 2010, before 12 midnight. So, I have approximately 3 weeks to complete my proposal. First chapter is completed in February. Literature Review has been settled in March and April. But now, I am still stuck with Research Methodology because it is more technical compared to the other two chapters. I have read on Action Research but I am still blurred in some parts. A bit confused with intervention research, both designs looked the same, so I am afraid that I might be on the wrong track. Still need to do some readings.
On the 2nd May, I received a message from Marni, she told me that the submission date has been postponed. Alhamdulillah because I am still working my research methodology. To avoid from being continuously blurred...hehe..I decided to submit my draft to Dr. Aziah on the 5th May 2010. I hope she could make some comments for me to improve my proposal and I also hope that I could have the time to make amendments because I am now tied with school works, I was asked to train a student to represent the school for public speaking competition, state level.
On 6th May 2010, Dr. Aziah has replied my e-mail. I need to read more on action research. So, I will find times to study on it. I have search for a few websites on that research design:
URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_research
http://www.alliance.brown.edu/pubs/themes_ed/act_research.pdf
(I like this website because the words are easy to understand and not much of bombastic jargons) I wish to quote a few information from it to be written in my literature review later.

On 8th May...
The submission date. Two things I need to do:
- E-mail my proposal to Dr. Aziah together
- with my e-portfolio which I have written in my blog. I hope I got the e-portfolio correct.
I really hope I will pass this semester...
